hey there,

Don't you just love weddings?! We were out at Waiheke island on friday at the mud brick... you so have to go there!!! It's kinda like being in Tuscany... ha, not that I have ever been there but I've seen pic's and it so looks like it to me! The Mud Brick is this totally gorgeous restaurant with the most delicious food ever.

We arrived at 11am and had a wee glass of bubbles and then we were off! "Up to the top" shouted Christopher ( he's a mad friend of mine and the best man to Mel and Marcel, his close friends from Britain that had decided to get married here, how cool huh?!)

To the side of the Mud Brick is this 'hill'. I'd never noticed it before actually. Its not like real big but it's pretty big. Anyways up we went. Mm, high heel sandals climbing up a dodgy dry mud hill are not really the go! But... its all for a good course, yep, 'love'. Man what we do for love hey!

Well I tell ya when we got to the top it was so worth it! It was so incredibly stunning... it just kinda took your breath away...

We all got into position, and the ceremony began. I use to be really scared of talking in front of people but now 2 weddings later I'm quite enjoying it!! Ha, yep I'm really new to this but I so love it.

wow, I would so love to get married one day. I have never done it before. Been asked but we never quite got there. Mm, one day. Hopefully before I'm a hundred! ...

ok, ok, to the wedding... well what can I say... it was so beautiful. It was like time stood still, (really!). Standing and watching as two people pledge their love to each other is something I think I will always honour. It really is quite magically.

Wishing you many many years of happiness Mel and Marcel! and not forgetting you Paulo the best ring bearer I know.

lotsa love

I was watching shortland street last night (yep I'm a fan, I love it. New Zealand's only long term soapy!!) Anyway Kip, really cute doctor is madly in love with one of the nurses Tracy and guess what... she is getting ready to 'dump' him! but she just cant quite do it yet, anyway his sixth sense has kicked in and he knows something is not right but he still hanging in there and doing everything he could possible do to keep her! yep, its the desperate stage.

Now I've been on both ends of the stick... and man do they both suck! sure being the 'dumper' you don't feel as bad but you still don't like it, (or maybe you do, what is it when you like to inflict pain? sadist/masochist always get confused...) anyways if your the 'dumpee' then heartbreak city here you come!

Either way that is how love works huh?

Oh and my friend that met the love of her life online is loving Greece and madly in love with the hunky Greek boy... she's not coming home she tell's me!

ok, got to dash, got a wedding to finish I'm a celebrant and have this cool wedding on waiheke next week and still have to do a few final touches! (it's at the mud brick, man its so beautiful and the yummiest food ever!)

luv 'n' stuff

My friend left for Greece yesterday and man was she excited...

She met this guy online and according to them both this was it! So she's going to check him and Athens out and if it all goes to plan she's moving there! amazing huh?!

Omg she was so nervous when she left, I went over to help her pack, took hours! we had to try on every outfit just to make sure it looked good and of course it did, cause she is so gorgeous.

Anyways in the last few years I have realised that attraction doesn't just start with the physical. The one thing she kept saying was she loved the sound of his voice. It really did it for her, his voice that is, sure she had a pic and a blurry web cam experience but it was the voice that hooked her.

Makes me wonder if we met a person in the dark and had absolutely no idea what they looked like would we choose the same person when the lights came on. (ouu what cool idea maybe we should do speed dating in the dark?!)

Remember the movie 'Shallow Hal' that so cracked me up! well, that guy Tony Robbins, hypnotises 'hal' and his whole perspective on women changes... kinda makes you think hey?!

ok, got to get ready for class,

luv n stuff
